EXPOSURE OF INFANTS TO OPEN AIR
It is quite common that some parents are worried that the baby will catch a cold and thus have the concept that infant should be placed in a room with thick curtains drawn and windows closed.
Although it is important to keep the infant from getting a cold, it is equally important to ensure that the room the baby is in is well ventilated. So the baby's room should be large and with good air circulation whereby fresh air is frequently renewed. If the weather permit and the child is healthy, you may take the infant into the open air at specific period for not too long a period. However, you should not allow your maid to loiter around too long and exposing the infant unecessarily as this is usually the source of all evils as the child is unduely exposured.
If the weather is cold and wet, you should not exposure your child to the damp condition of the enviroment and it is better to stay home.
